Manda Bay has a Cessna 206, single engine aircraft, stationed on our own airfield. This aircraft is available for charter and many of our guests utilize this by arranging their collection from the Nairobi International Airport and are flown direct to the resort often arriving for breakfast. Charters to or from other destinations can also be arranged.
There is a huge wilderness area situated close to the beach on the mainland, 15 minutes by air, which is home to a large amount of wildlife and incredible flora. Forests of Doum Palms, (the only branching palm in the world), a huge stand of Borassus Palms beside a glade teeming with wildlife with a waterhole in the center full of hippos. A low scenic flight over the treetops reveals one of Kenya’s best-kept secrets, and an exhilarating low-level pass along miles of deserted beach is the grand finale. |
